Your Aneurysm Consultation

During our specialized consultation, we take a holistic approach to your findings: We consider your imaging results, your individual risk factors, your medical history, and your personal situation. Based on this, you will receive a written assessment with a clear recommendation - including a detailed explanation of the reasoning behind our assessment.

If we conclude that treatment is not necessary, we will tell you this just as clearly as we would if we were advising you to undergo treatment. Our goal is to work with you to make the decision that’s right for you.

What to bring:

  • Imaging data on CD/DVD or as a digital upload (the original data, not just the report)
  • Doctor’s letters and previous medical reports, especially earlier imaging results (these are crucial for assessing possible changes or growth)
  • A current list of medications and—if available—blood pressure readings from the past few weeks
  • Your questions—preferably prepared in writing. You’re also welcome to bring someone with you.

You’d Like a Second Opinion?

If you’ve been advised to undergo treatment elsewhere and would like to carefully reconsider that decision, you can obtain an independent second opinion from us—entirely digitally and without having to travel, if you prefer.

We’ll review your imaging data, conduct a structured, individualized risk assessment, and discuss your case during our interdisciplinary conference.

You will then receive a written, reasoned assessment with a clear recommendation.

Seeking a second opinion does not mean questioning the expertise of your treating physicians. When facing a significant decision, it is a sensible and well-established part of responsible medical care.
